Krabi (Thailand)

Hello from Krabi or shall i say Sa-wat-dee! :)

We left Koh Pha-ngan with nostalgia , but next stop is not less exciting . We visited it before , so when bus entered the town we straight away recognized some streets, markets and places where we been before . This time we spend 7h to get to Krabi , 3h by ferry and 4h by bus. It cost us 650 baht ( £12 ) per person.
We stayed in the place called Diamond Home resort. The place was OK , the thing I liked  there , that there was brand new swimming pool and free transfer from and to city centre every 2h . It cost us 450 baht (£8) per night with WiFi , shower and etc.

It was so nice to comeback there after exactly one year and it feels so good when you already know where to go for dinner , where is the best fruit market and etc. First evening  had dinner in our favorite small family restaurant , walked around shops , local markets, visited city symbol the big Crab statue and walked around famouse weekend walking street market that I recoment everyone to visit while you Krabi.

This time we wanted to explore more of Krabi by ourselves , so  we rented the scooter again for 200 baht ( £4 ) per day .
So our first stop was Tiger caves which is about 9km from Krabi where is this incredible Buddha  temple build on a top of the mountain . Sorry but there is no elevator , you have to take 1237 big steps to see it ! Believe me that was funny and tiring climb up in the middle of the heat, but after about 1h with a few stops to rest we reached the top! :D
The view was once again was incredible , you could see all Krabi , mountains on one side and sea on the other . We were really happy that we accepted this 1237 steps challenge , but when we got down from there we felt like we left our legs up there in the temple , lol. There also was Tiger cave , which didn't leave big impression and Buddhist monastery . Plenty beautiful Buddha statues and wild cheeky monkeys just looking how to get any snacks from the tourists.

Next day we went to walk around most famous Ao-Nang beach. Where are all the restaurants shops and night life. This is actually the place which been highly effected by tsunami back in 2004 , but they did really good job to rebuild it. We found there really nice relaxing coffee shop , where for the first time I tried probably 100% real herbal green tea. It was the best green tea I ever tried , since then I am just asking for this tea in every place that we eat :)

Finally we visited natural Krabi hot spring pools and healthy Emerald pool. It was kind of a big journey by scooter , about 50km from Krabi. Hot springs pool was free but for Emerald pool we had to pay 200 baht (£4) per person , because its in the middle of the Bangkram Wildlife Sanctuary . Have you ever tried to have a hot bath outside when there is +35 ? Well that how I felt like . Strangely when I got out of it I didn't felt that the weather is so hot anymore , I kind of felt good and cool . Apparently its very healthy even when there is +35. The water come from deep underground and has healing powers. The same in Emerald pool, but there water was not hot, is was just about right.  In general Bangkram Wildlife Sanctuary was really beautiful and relaxing . After almost all day in there we felt light and relaxed like after SPA.

Although its was our second visit in Krabi , I have to say that there is always something new to discover in the places like this.
Next stop Ko Lanta island !

Labas labas labas...

Krabi...pažįstamas pavadinimas, pažįstamos vietos. Kaip smagu sugrįžti į vietą kur jau esi buvęs.
Krabyje vienoje iš vietų Tailande buvome prieš metus laiko. Atrodo niekas nepasikeitė: tos pačios gatvės, turgavietės, netgi mūsų pamėgtas restoranas, bet šį kartą Krabi atradome iš naujo.
Taigi viskas nuo pradžių. Koh Pha-ngan salą palikome su nostalgija, nes abu labai sužavėjo ši vieta. Bet reikia judėti pirmyn ir tai užtruko 3val su keltu ir 4val. su autobusu, keliavome į vieną iš turistų jau pamėgtą miestą Krabi. Kelionės kaina kartu sudėjus £12/48lt., žmogui.
Apsistojome miesto pakraštyje Diamond home resort viešbutyje, kuris buvo labai tvarkingas, didelis kambarys, netgi neseniai įrengtas baseinas ir nemokamas nuvežimas/parvežimas į miestą, žodžiu viskas ko reikia už labai gerą kainą £8/32lt., per naktį dviem žmonėms.
Ką labiausiai patariu užsisakant viešbučius(nesvarbu Azijoj,Afrikoj ar Europoj) bet svarbiausia skaityti komentarus, nes preitais metais apsistojom viešbuty kur buvo pilna tarakonų, tad teko net su šviesa miegot...aišku jei mėgstat įvairius gyvūnėlius tada tai neaktualu;)
Ką labiausiai verta pamatyti Krabi tai keturias salas (4 islands tour), į kurias ekskursijas daro bet kuris viešbutis ar informacijos centras. Šiemet mes ten nevažiavom, nes buvom praeitais metais, bet atradom ir kitokios veiklos. Dar būdami Malaizijoje susipažinom su porele is Vokietijos, kurie parekomendavo šventyklą į kurią įkopti tikras iššūkis.
Tai kaip jau ir tampanti tradicija iššinuomojom motorolerį, kuris kainuoja visur maždaug panašiai £4/16lt parai, benzinas apie 10lt., dviem dienom. Taigi pirmiausia aplankėm šią Budos šventyklą( Tiger cave) į kurią įkopti yra 1237 laipteliai. Užtruko valandą laiko vien į viršų palipti su keliais sustojimais. Aš maniau, kad 274 laiptai jau yra daug, kai kopėme Malaizijoje į Batu caves, bet čia manau iššūkis kiekvienam, kurį rekomenduoju pabandyt būnant Krabyje. Aišku vaizdas užlipus nepakartojamas, atsiveriantys nuostabūs kalnai, jūra bei visas miestas.
Taip pat aplankėm jau pažįstamas vietas kaip Ao Nang paplūdimį ( kuris buvo labai paliestas cunamio prieš 10 metų, bet db viskas naujai atstatyta), turgavietę kur pilna šviežių vaisių ir daržovių, krabą, kuris yra kaip miesto simbolis ir kt.
Kadangi turėjom dar vieną laisvą dieną, tai iš ryto mėgaudamiesi kava atradom dar vieną įdomią vietą, kurią verta aplankyt. Tai požeminiai gydomieji karštieji vandenys/baseinai (hot springs) bei natūralūs vandenys (Emerald pool and blue pool). Emeral pool yra laukinės gamtos parke ( Bangkram wildlife Sanctuary), todėl už įėjimą reikėjo mokėti £4/26lt., žmogui. Šitos dvi įspūdingos vietos buvo apie 50km už Krabi miesto, bet mes sugebėjome tai įveikti su mūsų mažąja transporto priemone. Buvo labai įdomu kai karštas vanduo baseine kai lauke ir taip +35, bet manau labai smagu būtų tokiam vandeny šaltą dieną pagulėt. Po tokios dienos pasijutom, kad buvom kokiam spa centre pailsėt nors iš tikro tik pabuvojom gamtoj su nuostabiais ežeriukais.
Nors miestas ir nedidelis, bet mes atradome kažką naujo būdami čia antrą kartą. Tikrai nesigailiu, kad čia sugrįžome nors praeitais metais šis miestas didelio įspūdžio ir nepadarė, bet šiais mes jį atradom naujom spalvom.
